Books like this show how easily people are fooled by a demagogue.

How is it so far, Geevee? It is on my tbr.

It is very interesting. One of the recurring aspects is how many of the people featured in the book were middle class, educated, artistic/cultured [played instruments or were well-read], and certainly not stupid or were deceived. The tumultuous times of post WWI and the fear of communism is ever-present and a very influential piece of the jigsaw. The writing as expected by Richard Evans is very good. Overall, do far one I wouldn't recommend to new(er) readers of the Third Reich as well as more seasoned, too
