Sooo… I read the Bewitching and it was a SLOG. I recognized the author’s name and didn’t realize this is the same author of Mexican Gothic… which was and early abandonment for me but I didn’t categorize into DNF (yet). I’m not sure I would read another book by this author.

I really appreciate the setting of her books, but they're executed so poorly I have no reedeming qualities to list for either book. I'm somehow hating this one even more, too :( both were book club picks for me, but after MG I really should have known better and just sat this month out aha. I did try to go in with an open mind but alas
