I read this book when I was 15 yrs old. My husband’s (then boyfriend’s English Mother gave it to me. I loved it then and I love it now. It’s a sweet story.

My mother in law, May gave me this book when I was about 16 yrs old. The author, Cookson is very well known in England, being honored by the Queen. I read quite a few a few of her books back then, so I decided to give it a go again.
