I know it seems as if the book wouldn't be "all that" interesting, but I've found it incredibly so. AND, discovered again, that the 21st Century American is a sadly soft and greatly blessed human.

Very interesting, well written. A little too 'respectful' of Islam. (I suspect author Christiane Bird a convert to the misogynistic, homophobic, anti-civilization, Jew-slaughter-centric, religion.) BUT still, the history of Oman, is far more intriguing than, at first glance, it could possibly be.

Very interesting, the history of Oman and their brand of Islam (Ibadhi) which integrates non-violently (according to the author) with all other religions.
