Fascinated by the Jonestown and Heavens Gate backgrounds and outcomes. Just as I began to wonder if someone who was unfortunately sucked into one of these groups, once out, finds their way into another, the author introduced Laura Johnston Kohl who was part of Jonestown and Synanon.

So far, this book is reading as a textbook. Not necessarily bad but not exactly what I was expecting.
