Ha!! That's the interesting thing, its not him who is grief striken. He's writting to his mom, telling her all the reasons he's fine, and why she shouldn't need to grieve him being exiled. And then besides that, he believes the lack of grief to be inhumane but over indulging in it to be a vice. And i have never considered grief as something that should be done in moderation
