one thing I absolutely HATE is when an author introduces the FMC as this cool, unbothered, badass character and then as the story goes on she just turns into a complete loser. Suddenly she’s making the dumbest decisions imaginable and acting nothing like the person we were first introduced to. It completely ruins the book for me because I genuinely CANNOT stand that kind of character derailment.
