A man recited a poem to him one day:
The boldest of man I have seen is he who hides The shortcomings of a man from the man himself.
He used to say: 'O son of Adam! How weak you are due to selt-negligence (ghaflab). You point out peoples' shortcomings but are oblivious to your own. You see the speck in your brother's eye but are blind to the stem that is in your eye. How little introspection and what great prejudice!
