Im starting this one now. I'm kind of concerned about it though. I used to read this guy's blog but apparently he spearheaded much of the modern AI movement... called "rationalists", I'm curious how much their love for technology - bringing steep humanitarian costs - are on display here.

Ugh. Yup. Only this far in it and it's pretty clear already that this book is about AI spearheading the revolution of the world to remove all the problems in life and make everything better. I'm sure there'll be antics of some power struggle since the owner of the AI would necessarily become a ruler of sorts, but I'm already really exhausted of it at this point. Frankly I just wish I wasn't dealing with this irl.
