I am about 1/4 of the way through and I am really hoping it gets better. So far, everything before the beast showed up was the best. Since he got here, this book has seemed all over the place. I really hope that it funds itself before too long.

This book never takes a moment to slow down and rest in the moment. It is making it really hard to get attached to any setting or any characters. I wish that it would focus a little bit more on letting us get really involved with the story instead of just dragging us behind it as the plot races around.
