Yeah this writing is god awful. I’m DNFing this.

This book is fucking awful… I mean look at this sentence- it’s all like this:
“I talked with the major and learned that when it should start and our cars should be loaded we would drive them back along the screened road and up to the main road along the ridge where there would be post and other cars to clear them.”
The Fuck did I just read…

If you gave me this book and told me it came out in 2026 and didn’t tell me the author, I would bet money that it was written by Ai. The writing is so robotic and dry, all characters are flat and alien, and the “romance” is confusing and cringe. What the hell is this?

What the hell... The "romance" in this book went from 0 to 100 in the matter of a few lines. So much for romantic build up. That was the worst beginning to a romance story I've ever read, ever.

Was Ernest Hemmingway drunk the entire time he wrote this book?
