There is much beauty in this book but also much pain; it’s hard to bear. I had to return this to the library before I finished, but I know how it ends, as it’s based on an apocryphal story. Worth a reread with an owned
copy to highlight stunning descriptions of desire, self-actualization, pain, ecstasy, mundanity.
