tbh some of these references go over my head a little. it’s impressive that they all pick up on so much art and literature knowledge and catch all these subtle details but… i don’t know if i’d call it unrealistic, just maybe a bit much? it’s in literally every chapter, every conversation. i don’t know if i’m even allowed to complain about a book making me feel dumb but here i am

in these words is kinda like that only with a psychiatrist working with the police(?) instead of a cop. and its not danmei, a manga but good.
I second Nel's rec about In These Words. From me, what I can remember The Mindfuck series by S.T. Abby would work (FBA agent x s-killer lady) - not manga or danmei tho

no literally, that type of dynamic would be soo good. after i read wine and gun, i tried finding any similar crime danmei but, there’s always some sa between the main couple in it so, i gave up.
