How many times are we going to hear/read that the teacher is hot, that Hudson used to be her best friend, and that her husband will be upset when he sees she bought another pair of shoes?!?

Add other show, not tell. Just go shopping and do it, followed by a disappointed husband. The student teacher's actions are already moving the plot forward, without needing to say she's so hot for teacher.
