I’m genuinely laughing so hard John Connolly is deadass so funny like I want to be friends with him. Birds internal monologue and conversations with angel and Louis actually make me laugh out loud they are so funny he’s so witty. Just teared up at pg 268 I love these characters and I just love Angel’s monologue about compassion and and bird and how bird absorbs but differentiates how he sees things UGH

I missed Charlie Parker, angel and Louis. John Connolly is so witty, I love his writing, his imagery is beautiful and haunting as always. I also weirdly always become interested in the locations of the book. Like I’m looking up an awful lot about the geography of Maine and I’m always too lazy to do that.
