The relationships in this book are so frustrating. The characters have known each other for only a few weeks, they're 18 and now just had sex. Stupid. But for 90% of the book, Maggie is emphatic to her mother, knowing who she truly is at her core despite the tragedies which have shaped her to shut down and abandon her for 4 months research.

Leaving your mother to have sex with a guy you just met? Please. Grow up.

Update: ok Wes aint that bad but it's kinda weird how he hopping from Annette to Margaret so quickly. Like ik she makes you FEEL something diff other than attraction but the switcharoo was quickkk
