Hmmm, this chapter about police and trans people is giving me the willies. I guess I want the author to be firmer on the position that it is impossible to reform the police system in a way that makes it safe for trans people unless it is to abolish police altogether.

Chapter 3 was really good: about how “the transgender issue” has been weaponized to promote infighting among so-called progressive groups. And how trans activism isn’t classist, or elitist, but rather how trans activism is inextricably bound up with causes championing redresses for classism, racism, etc.
