This book is littlemore than a series of glances at midwestern & southern Americana. There is emphasis on the "bible belt" aspect of the area. While it seems to be handled carefully, so as not to offend, it doesnot seem sympathetic. That was surprising to me since this is part of a series that seems to concentrate on the faith aspect of life, although this is the first I have read in the series.
