Lisa I hope you are loving this one. The writing is so beautiful!

Ken This is what I love about GR and why I've been here over the years. By clicking the author's name, I can see which books of hers I've read (my brain would never manage that on its own). Turns out, I've read My Antonia (accent missing) and The Professor's House, which, as you'd imagine a professor's house to be, was not that interesting. Good luck with this. We're all archbishops!

I couldn't agree more, Lisa. It's just gorgeous. I've got O Pioneers! lined up next.

Ken, I'm delighted that this little post triggered such wonderful memories for you! I bought this together with O Pioneers! at a bookshop in Santa Fe that did not have My Ántonia, so I"ll look for that when I go home. I'd never read Cather before but I'm already hooked! I've had enough of professors' houses, so I'll probably skip that one. I'm going to look for your old reviews!

Lisa Alison, you've got literary treats ahead. These 3 novels of Cather's are all gems! For what it's worth, My Antonia is my favorite of the three.

Thank you, Lisa! I just ordered it from my local bookstore. I'm about 3/4 of the way through O Pioneers now. What a wonderful discovery!
