I'm genuinely so mad I have to comment on my own post to continue my rant. I listened to this fucking half baked chuckling mongrel's twist before bed and I was so angry I couldn't sleep for like another two hours. HOW could he have deluded himself into thinking this was cool, or even close to a good idea. As if the careful Webwork of re-emergent nationalism and the wildfire of capitalism, as well as the two factions of restorationists didn't offer enough fodder for action and interesting plots, instead it had to tie back to an already established character who was already dealt with and left in the past. It's trite, and it's schlocky, and it's a major disappointment. It threw away the chance of being a cool as shit sci-fi retelling of the french revolution in order to fall back on the lamest marvel tier star wars somehow he as returned BULLSHIT rather than do anything interesting or impactful.

He might still be able to pull it back, but there had better be a good fucking reason for this shit, and some payoff which is commensurate with the spit in my eye I feel like this DOG SHIT plot development has offered up.
