This book is very I did this, then I did this, decided to do this. Very little descriptive writing apart from big events - left the plot lacking. Maybe this is the writing style, whatever it is I’m not getting on with it

The problem with books that are spin offs or run alongside other books is the fact that you’re operating on half the knowledge and the author has to walk a fine line between info dumps and not enough info - like I felt this was missing introductions it just plunged into the story without any wider consideration
