i can't wait to be done with this

any time the narrator speaks i want to throw this book across the room. it's such a bad aspect of this book.

absolutely no one:
the author, breaking the fourth wall: eh you get that? *nudge nudge* eh, eh? you get it? let me spell it out for you. repeatedly.

something needs to give a this book because my god do i not wanna read it

why is cleopatra being portrayed so naive and what is up with omnipresent cleopatra breaking the fourth wall?? it feels so sloppy
