This started off really strong, but as it becomes more political, I’m starting to struggle. I expected a fun romantasy, but it feels too heavy on setup and world-building.
I get that it’s the first book, but all the context pulls me out of the story. I just want the fun backkkk.
I usually love first books in a series, so this is a bit disappointing… I REALLY want to like this :(
