tbh some of these references go over my head a little. it’s impressive that they all pick up on so much art and literature knowledge and catch all these subtle details but… i don’t know if i’d call it unrealistic, just maybe a bit much? it’s in literally every chapter, every conversation. i don’t know if i’m even allowed to complain about a book making me feel dumb but here i am

[melanie] wrote: "Genuinely question, is this worth buying or are you reading a fan translation?"tbh i can’t speak to the quality of the official release, and from what i know rosmei takes forever to put anything out, it’s been almost a year and still no vol 2. you’re better off trying the ftl and judging for yourself; it’s actually pretty decent. my only gripe is the second part, the text is uncomfortably small for me since i have bad eyes that get tired easily which makes the reading feel a bit sluggish, but that’s more of a personal thing

I didn't realize there was another translator who picked it up! Me and my friends just mtl-ed our way through this whole book lol
