Enjoyed the clever wordplay and symbolism… how stories from the past (horse, journalist, activism) are the same narratives just different cast and settings. How the stories we are told as children come around. Whilst as she writes, you don’t read Ali Smith for beginning, middle and end. I did feel the writing lacked something in the middle but glad I kept up reading it for the final part.
