This book lowkey infuriates me
If I wasn’t reading it with a group of people who continue to have wonderful, deep, thought provoking discussion, I’d DNF it.

I do wish some of his examples were a bit more concrete, especially moments where he recommends using the scripture to entreat his children. He can be quite vague there, while he gives detailed (somewhat obvious) examples of what not to do.
Overall, I’m motivated to better familiarize myself with instructive passages for reference. So that’s a positive takeaway, I suppose.

So far, I feel like the author overly focuses on what not-to-do (redundant and somewhat condescending) but I’m hopeful that we’re moving into practical and tangible applications of the what-to-do. Grateful for the study group members who have a lot more insight and wisdom to offer.
