In the opening story, "Flour," I struggled to grasp the author's intentions as well as the underlying themes conveyed in the text. But, thankfully, I managed to find some reviews that explained the underlying themes of death and apathy in this story. All in all, I'll have to read a bit more to grasp whether or not I like this type of stories which requires thinking.

I've just finished the second chapter of the book. I think I like this one a bit better since the underlying themes are somewhat clearer.
