Beautifully paced, every time Ranitta accomplishes something, making progress i get so proud of her, im so used to reading mess that i was worried this would fall flat be predictable but the tellings of Ranittas inner world her thoughts and experiences make this story so rich and encompassing.

I love the rawness and vulnerability. Ranitta’s perspective is helping me to develop a deeper empathy for black women who have experienced addiction are in recovery and have been institutionalized. I’m enjoying the weaving through time as it means to tell her story. And I really value hearing her in her most thoughts and dialogue. It’s beautifully written.
