Constant bickering about money and their house, but then overcompensating with how physically attracted to each other they are - clearly they aren’t that compatible.
I feel for Calla, having moved all the way to Alaska for him and having nothing there herself. Can’t drive herself anywhere, scared of nature, Jonah’s gone flying a lot and her family can’t come visit.

Jonah and Calla are the perfect example of people that should probably go their separate ways, despite loving each other.

Almost 70% through and barely any plot. Jonah is out doing his own thing with some guilt about leaving Calla. Calla is at home bitter to be left behind, but trying not to be. Whenever they are together it’s just descriptions of physical chemistry, but without actually convincing the reader that they are a good couple.
