I already said this but I can't stress it enough: I would have loved figuring out what Fan Xiao's goal is, what he wants, why is he so hot and cold - IF THE AUTHOR DIDN'T SPOIL IT in the notes very early on. So I know what exactly he wants, I know why he is interested in the other guy, I even know what is wrong with him - all simply through the author notes. Hell, the author even revealed who the top/bottom is. WHY:(

I’m gonna give this a try until 30% and then I’ll decide if I want to dnf or not. On a more positive side: I really like the translator’s notes explaining the Thai stuff (since I know absolutely nothing about Thailand)

Might DNF this I’m finding it super hard to relate to any of the characters. They all seem kinda shallow and just… not deep. Not real. Fan Xiao is the most interesting but the others are basically NPCs. Idk

I’m getting major BAB vibes from this (especially “Evil He Yu” of vol 7). A red flag gong (who is 100% straight, he just jacks off to a video of a guy jacking off lol), pharmaceutical industry, a disinterested shou who wants to keep his distance but the gong keeps pursuing him... (Also this and BAB are the only two books where I saw a character flat out state “I’m homophobic” lol) luckily I love BAB!:D

Ngl the author notes having literal major spoilers ruins this a tad bit. I might have been wondering what Fan Xiao’s end game was IF THE AUTHOR DIDN’T SPOIL IT chapters ago! Ugh.

After reading unofficial tls I get why publishers cut out the authors notes , some of them love to spoil everything(×_×) hope your new reads won't have the same issue

I never had this happen so I didn’t even think of being careful when reading author notes :( I’m cautious around translator notes… I know I sound so petty but it genuinely ruins a lot of this book - I enjoy it so much but I also know I could have been enjoying it a LOT more! 😫
I get you , one time I had to put a danmei(i don't remember which one)on hold because they spoiled a lot in the prologue and notes
