This was the very first book that ever made me cry 😭
@Shades - I was literally about to type this exact same thing. Same. I have a vivid memory of not being able to see the pages because of the tears.
@Mereda - I think I was like 10 and read the whole thing at like midnight without informing anyone what I was reading. I had never cried so hard reading (I have certainly cried harder NOW but not then).

I never watched the movie, but the book was kinda mleh for me. 🙃
