I understand the eye twitches! I noticed some of that in Night Road. Kristin Hannah’s writing style has changed a lot. It seems to me there is “before The Nightingale” and “after The Nightingale”. Early in her career she wrote romances. All her latest books seem to be very well researched with heavy themes. I think she’s a much more thoughtful writer now.
