This is not Rebecca’s finest, and yet it should be, given the heavy subject matter she tackles. I am just not connecting with these characters.
Such a bummer, but maybe the last half will turn around for me.

I love Rebecca Yarros’s romances too, but I am struggling to connect to these characters and have no idea why.
