I've read a few versions of the Welsh myths about Blodauwedd (Flower Face) and all those Mabinogion characters that surround her beforehand and it has helped me to understand this novel better. Now I'm enjoying this fully fledged retelling with all its details and colours put in.
It's fantasy mixed with a bit of horror and a lovely sprinkle of Welsh as well as with some distinct feminine streak.
I think you're going to like it.
