Sidenote: Mulisch has Dick, our protagonist, meet the wife of one of his main clients, who breifly drags him off to a yacht (Kissinger is there, telling jokes to the Prince of Monaco) where two aristocrats and a media magnate engage Dick in philosophical discourse.

We now know this is egregious and implausible: the rich can't spell each others' names right twice in a row.
