Guys this book is not for the serious (or those in a serious mood) because there’s a mention of COOTIES. COOTIES. In a fantasy novel. No, I just can’t. Just no.

I’m no literary critic but I’m not having fun seeing words like “doozy” and “Podunk” in a fantasy novel. It feels way too North American to me.

Maybe it’s just me but reading this book feels a bit like a chore…

My hardback which has been sitting on my shelf right now is judging for me for reading the paperback that I bought last weekend 👀
