John Deacon is a good writer of westerns. His books always have biblical associations that lead me to think more deeply of matters that we all confront these days. His recent works have become a little formulaic for me. His best series - Yonder - is also his award-winning series. I am hoping that he will start stepping out of his current rhythm and get inspired.
