My first book in the hard SciFi genre, so i'm going in blank. (I don't count Hyperion, that's imo soft Scifi leaning to fantasy)
I've seen a lot of scifi movies/series though (Gravity, Prometheus, the Expanse, Star Wars, etc) so not a scifi-virgin in general.
The start is promising! It feels like a light and fun read.
