From Don Quixote’s very long life and from my very short life i have realized that potent charm exists within the middle of the spectrum between perceived insanity (sometimes not dependent on perception…) and competence. Don Quixote is mad but is competent in his judgement (outside the material realm of course) and Christian love, making him the most charming character in literature and ultimately a great hero.
