Project Gutenberg. Kidnapped as a child along with his sister, they are separated. Olaudah first is a slave to a different Igbo (Eboe) speaking group, and after that family suffers a misfortune, he is sold elsewhere. Slavery among the Eboe- speaking peoples seemed to be more hierarchical, and more "familial", but no less difficult for a child. He and his sister are shortly reunited, and then separated forever.
