nothing quite like the peace of a friend. when i was in high school my house flooded and we were to live with a wealthy family friend who was often away for the better part of a month and a half. the night it happened - i was the one who walked in on it all - i was sent to jen’s house where she and mel were having a sleepover and i cried and cried and they comforted me and i havent really thought of it til now.
