" I was 17 years old, bound for college in another year, and I didn't believe in such things as curses and emotions that linger and grow rancid, the spilled milk of dreams. I would not have granted you the power of the past to reach out horrid dead hands toward the living.
But I'm a little older now." pg112

Peter I've created a list on possessed cars horror novels and Christine is number one of course!

Valerie Book Valkyrie Thanks Peter 🚘! Not so sure I'm into the "possessed car" theme as much as I'm into Stephen King's stories, and have read the 4 King books on the list long ago. Driven by curiosity, I've started rereading Classic King novels to see how they sit decades after first reading them ⊹ ࣪ ˖🕰️୭˚. ᵎᵎ🗝️.

I do enjoy Richard Matheson's writing, Duel has been on my tbr for awhile. I'm not (yet?) familiar with the author, Jack D. Ace; his stories are much newer & much shorter than those of King or Matheson. Also, according to your reviews (top-notch btw!) Ace's stories are "extreem horror" which may be a little more than I can handle 😬.

Thanks for your comment, Valerie. I put that list together based on the books I read and that spontaneously came into my mind. Jack deals with Ed Gein and Ilse Koch, the notorious Bitch of Buchenwald. Well, the evil Ford of Gein convinces his new driver to kill women... you can easily imagine this leads to extreme horror. Jack has a great style, extremely explicit and very dark. Christine is one of my all time favorites and The Duel a classic too. Just thought when you're behind that Plymouth Fury that you look out for more... all the best Peter
