Okay, SO glad I didn’t give up on this book after the last chapter of wading through philosophical nonsense. Lewis’ buckled and “admitted God was God, and knelt and prayed” albeit, reluctantly. This chapter is beautiful.

Chapter 13–A New Look—was a difficult one for me to follow, mostly because I have not read most of the books he references and that influenced his thought during his years at Oxford after WW1. I was disappointed that he did not talk more about the war. His inner world was formed more through books than through physical participation in life.
