Shirley Jackson knows exactly how to write every vague and unique thought or feeling you've ever had. Also, love the joke when Natalie quotes her father, saying people only quote when they have nothing to say. Very clever, Ms Jackson. Writing comes so easily to her, and so smoothly, and so much depth, yet it so quickly passes.
