Interrupted in progress d/t the audacity of life. Doesn’t respond well to being set aside while another book had to be my reading focus. With the usual complexity of a British novel - characters with complicated names who evolve slowly, and plot lines with twists and turns that can potentially leave the reader in the dust, requiring frequent reviews and restarts.

Slow reading and multiple setting aside for books chosen by book clubs.

I love his mysteries but this is 500+ pages!
