Sooo good. It is starting to get really interesting. Colm just saw body cam footage of Weber’s name in the appointment book, which he describes as a “nuclear explosion detonating” rather than a bombshell.

Okay after reading that chapter, i think colm’s wife was killed and it was framed as a suicide, just like the defense attorney. And colm was in that case that the killers are pissed about (ch 1), so they probably killed ally to hurt him. These are the same ppl who setup a camera at colm’s house. I wonder if they’re connected to beau Landry at all.

AH the search warrant application was so good

This is getting juicy. My literal only negative for this book is i have trouble keeping track of who some of the characters are after putting the book down for a few days. I gotta keep that straight though because i have a feeling some things are definitely going to be intertwined.

As someone who works in this field, Gowdy (obviously an attorney himself) does a great job at making this realistic. Even down to throwing in whether or not certain evidence would be admissible.

Already really enjoying this. There are several poetic quotes that got me. Favorite being “but it’s a facade. Autumn is death masquerading as beauty.”
