Two Envelopes And A Phone
Two Envelopes And A Phone is starting
This showed up. So, I'm going to bump the Horace McCoy I had lined up, just briefly, and read the Perry Rhodan book, and then go to this. Two people at the website read The Anubis Gates, and since they both enjoyed it, I took a recommendation from each of them (should have Royal Flash soon). This is actually a book most Anubis Gates fans get steered to, as something similar. At long last, I am getting to it!

Very enjoyable, but it’s not gonna top my favourite book - and its cousin - The Anubis Gates. It’s less cohesive, more chaotic in flavour, even if all these characters bumping into each other, running around with different boxes and other prizes, are leading to a finale that ties it all together. The energy is great - but a Fantasy or SF novel probably can’t give me the story Anubis Gates gave me.

A blimp floats uneasily through a short Prologue, a scientist tries other follow it on the ground...and I'm off on this adventure. Ashbless mentioned already, and a character named Powers...

I'm gonna try and get Royal Flash this weekend. Bookstore closest to work: no help to me. Bookstore near where I live: losers also. I really thought this guy's stuff would be at one or the other. But, no. That would have been too easy. Checking out a new Used bookstore in Toronto on Saturday, and if that's a Flashman flop-out too, I'll go North a bit to the big whatsit corporate behemoth whatever they're called. I expect it will be there.

Tim Meechan No Libby app in Canada? That's unfortunate, I've read close to (30) books for free in the last couple years, including The Anubis Gates and I just downloaded Flashman. My taxes at work for me. I love it.

Tim Meechan The Bauchler, I couldn't find a separate conversation string for Flashman. Seemed weird to start one myself?

That said ...started, halfway, Akbar Khan just introduced himself to Flashman. Excellent surprise. Last 50 pages rocked.

Tim Meechan The Bauchler, I posted my comments on Flashman. TY, great writing, fun to read like The Anubis Gates. I'm just no good with satire. I was halfway through A Confederacy of Dunces before I even understood what satire was?. Dummy.

Anyway, I hope you see this here or get a chance to know that I still appreciate your recommendation and I'm ready for the next one, pick another of your favorites.
