Norah and Skyler apologized about losing touch over the years, and start becoming close again. Norah is starting to develop feelings for Skyler: "He smiled and my stomach did that weird flippy thing again" (West 184). Norah is also starting to notice that her mom has been secretive recently. Next, I think that Norah will tell Skyler she has feelings for him, and they will figure out what's wrong with Norah's mom.

Norah’s family and her family friends leave for an RV trip. The interactions between Norah and Skyler, her childhood best friend, are awkward at first, since Skyler moved away five years ago. Throughout the book, their interactions become more natural: “I walked in and smacked Skyler on the shoulder as I passed him by, my call for a truce” (West 70). I think that they will become closer and eventually fall in love.
