Just dwelling on how much Anne of Green Gables brainwashed me. If a character is named Ann, I think they must be dull and boring. If they are named Anne, though, I immediately love them. Maybe not necessarily that far, but two books in, and I am still sad she doesn't have an e at the end of her name.
