Just finished The Body. The movie ruined that book for me. The movie is near perfect. Very little differs, except some things from the book were shaved off and changed for movie making purposes. Still a good story.

Just finished Apt Pupil. At one point, I couldn’t figure out how he could squeeze another 100 pages out of the story, and it ended up being predictable, but Todd is definitely an awesomely evil Stephen King character.

Just finished Shawshank, for the first time. A favorite movie, and an excellent novella. The changes made in the movie work very well for the movie and serve the purpose richly. Interestingly, those changes aren’t missed in the novella. Biggest change is the Brooks character in the movie. Literally a non-factor in the book. Doesn’t detract in the book, adds a lot in the movies richness.
